Registration

Please save the MiM 2017 Registration dates and times in your diary!

You will need to submit your Registration Details Form by 17.00 (UK Time) on Monday 15 August. Link can be found here; http://forms.london.edu/form.asp?id=20026

 

We use this form for our records as well as compiling your student administration letters for your collection at registration. 

Therefore, please complete this form by the deadline. If the form isn't submitted by this deadline, you will have to wait until Monday 5 September before you can receive any letters.

 

Again, we are unable to print letters submitted after this date until after September the 5th.

What If I can't make any of the registration sessions above? 

The first thing you should do is inform the Programme Office via mimteam@london.edu and notify us of when you can come to the office.

What do I need to do before arriving?


(You can see an exhaustive pre-programme checklist on the ‘My Check List' page. The points below are the most urgent and relate to registration only)

 

1. Complete the Doodle form to book your registration time slot. http://doodle.com/poll/m9p4ab7nn94yyvda

 

2. Complete the registration details form http://forms.london.edu/form.asp?id=20026

           Deadline: Monday 15 August 2016, 17.00 (UK Time) 

 *The information provided in this form is used to create various student verification letters which you will need in order to set up a bank account, register with a GP, etc. Please stick to this deadline to ensure you will receive your letters at registration. We CANNOT create letters on the day of registration, anything submitted after the deadline will have to be collected from the Programme Office after Monday 5th September 2016.​

3.  You can now have your school access card ready for collection at registration.  To do so please,

​

1. Upload your photo for your card, by Monday 15th August by navigating to Portal> My Profile (int he left column)> Edit> General Details In the photo section, upload your photo, crop and save as appropriate. Please use Chrome to access Portal. Please ensure it meets the Photo guidelines.

 

2. Collect your access card from the registration desk on your assigned day.

 

If you do not meet the deadline or do not upload a suitable photo then you will need to visit the Security desk in Plowden to get your photo taken.

4. Come to registration an up to date passport* and BRP Card (if a Tier 4 visa student).Your registration won’t be complete without these forms of ID. *This is required for ALL students.

 

5. Download WeChat and link with ‘mimprogrammeoffice’.

On Arrival

Report straight to the registration room. This will either be Laing House- LHG01 or Plowden- PLG01, depending on which day you attend. See above for dates and locations, and here for a campus map. There will be signs directing you but if in doubt, please ask the staff at the Plowden or Ratcliffe Reception. Alternatively, please call +44 (0)20 7000 7592.

 

 

 


What do I need to do after I have registered?

• Collect your student access card from the designated security desk. (If you have not already collected this at the registration desk). 
• Check out the optional steps you can take to help ease you into LBS life:
 

 

 

Register with a Local Doctor (GP / General Practitioner)

You will need the relevant student letter which we will supply you with at registration

 

 

Open a Bank Account

You will need the relevant student letter which we will supply you with at registration

 

 

Get a UK Mobile Phone connection

Apply for Council Tax exemption*

You will need the relevant student letter which we will supply you with at registration

*This only applies for households where everyone’s a full-time student. https://www.gov.uk/council-tax/discounts-for-full-time-students

Apply for your Student Oyster Card which enables you to receive discounted fares on London Transport

To apply, visit the TFL website www.tfl.gov.uk/photcard

 

 

Apply for your ISIC (International Student ID Cards)

To apply go to the ISIC website www.isiccard.com

 

 

Police Registration

Only required if you are from a country listed on the police website. For further questions please contact Helen Foley at hfoley@london.edu
